I loved watched Cardcaptor Sakura as a kid, and instantly knew I wanted this case.
The engraving on the card is just a beautiful and detailed as it looks in the pictures. I will say that the picture makes it seems like a deep red/brown wood color with lighter brown on top, but in reality the red/brown is so dark it's almost black.
The case does have a rather strong smell. Im unsure if it's due to the sealing product that's used on the wood or the engraving process. I'm hoping it will fade soon.
Lastly, the only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that, again, maybe it's the sealing product, but the case slightly discolors things it comes into contact with. I used my white shirt (first mistake) to wipe something off of it and my shirt turned brown. I then used a paper towel and before long there was quite a bit of brown all over it as well. Maybe just be careful with it while it's new! At least, I'm hoping it doesn't keep doing that. Lol
